Sensing of Destiny – Part 2

Sensing of Destiny – Part 2

God does not operate from the standpoint of time. He exits out of time. He is more than the definition of existence. Job, a man of integrity in the ancient Near East, says, “Times are not hidden from the Almighty.”  Destiny could be categorized into the Past, Present, and Future. Destiny first reaches into the past before reaching the future. Behind the scenes, there were three things finding expression before time: Foreknowing, Predestination, and the Calling. Paul, the great Apostle, said in one of his writings, “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called….” By art of God’s authority, God chooses us and has a pedestal pathway for us before time. He also determines our race, location, and purpose upon the face of the earth. Paul brought another perspective in one of his writings “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love, Eph. 1:4.

Fort us to have a firm grip or true picture; it is needful for us to appreciate that God chooses us before time in His eternal purpose. Eph. 1:5, having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. Although predestination finds expression before time, it is not guaranteed that what God has predestined for us will find expression in time. We must align with God’s Justification plan in Christ because Jesus satisfied the claim of divine justice. Our choices in time play a significant role if what God predestined before time will see the light of the day. The sensing of Destiny is for us to choose what God has chosen for us in Christ. Moreover, we are also supposed to be separated unto God so that only God can operate our life unto specific functions. Our choices and our separation from God are highly critical points. The lamentation Prophets capture it this way “Before I formed YOU in the belly I knew YOU, and before YOU came forth out of the womb I sanctified YOU, and I ordained YOU a prophet unto the nations. “

The third Sense of Destiny is The CALLING and will be discussed in part 3, God willing.
