Spring It Forward!

Spring It Forward!

Seasons have been put in place by God from the beginning of time. Genesis 1:14, then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs and seasons, and days and years. God is purposeful for everything, and there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven – Ecclesiastes 3:1

The sons of Issachar, one of the 12 tribes of Israel, knew the times and courses of action to take 1 Chronicles 12: 32. From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take.

Do you know what time it is? It is Spring Season!

Spring brings a time to move the clock one hour forward. We lose an hour the day we do, amongst many reasons, to take advantage of daylight sayings. The days are longer, and the nights are shorter in this season. As we spring forward by an hour, we are jumping ahead in the time we have left on earth.

Whatever our age is at this moment, we cannot go back to the season we just left; we can move forward into this season with determination to live well for God. It is a season to redeem our time and make the most of the hour you are moving into – Ephesians 5:16. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.

For some of us, spring is a time to refresh our goals and focus for the year. We may look at re-engaging our fitness goals, re-establishing our goal to read a chapter of the Bible and a book a day to keep our minds renewed and engaged. Let’s forget about the days gone that we were not missed and did not stick to the Bible plan we created at the beginning of the year. Now is the time to restart and be determined going forward to meditate on the Word daily.

It is time to study this Book of instruction continually meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do”. Joshua 1:8

Spring also brings a time to declutter our homes and lives. All those items you have not used for over a year, time to give them away or recycle them. Spring provides an opportunity to review how you engage with yourself and others. Declutter emotions, relationships that do not serve you well, habits that constantly sabotage your plans. Don’t befriend angry people or associate with hot-tempered people, or you will learn to be like them and endanger your soul. Proverbs 22:24-25.

As we enter a new season, let us be determined to take advantage of the time we have been given to number our days and apply them rightly. Let’s ask the Lord to “Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.” Psalm 90: 12

Let us declutter from stuff and relationships that do not profit our walk with God and fulfill His purpose for my life. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Ephesians 4:23

  1. May this season fuel us forward to another beautiful season of the blessing of Your Almighty hand. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  2. Well written momma….the Spring time is a time for renewed mindsets and goals and an even deeper desire to know Him and to stay at His feet! May God help us to make good use of the times and seasons we find ourselves so we don’t loose the chance and opportunities given to us by God.
